Hi, I'm Anne
I'm the author of The Dragon in the Soup Tureen and the human friend who helped Flame share his story with the world. Living in rural Victoria, Australia, I've always believed that magic can happen in the most ordinary places.
My love of dragons started when I was a child, reading fantasy stories and imagining what it would be like to have a dragon as a friend. That childhood dream eventually became Flame — a dragon who teaches us all about compassion, trust, and the beauty of being different.
When I'm not writing, I enjoy exploring the Australian countryside, spending time with family, and dreaming up new adventures for Flame and his friends.
The Inspiration
Flame's story began as a simple idea: what if a dragon appeared in your backyard? Not a scary, fire-breathing monster, but a gentle, confused creature who needed help. That question grew into a story about friendship, acceptance, and finding your place in the world.
